Our mission is to give children the gift of confidence. We serve children who lose their hair due to medical illnesses and conditions. It’s difficult enough dealing with such life-changing complications, we’re here to prevent a lack of confidence as an added stress.
This month, we’d like you to meet Wigs For Kids recipient, Cara. The sweet Cara is nine years old and enjoys playing soccer, roller-skating, and scrapbooking. Her favorite food is pizza and she loves playing Minecraft! Aside from her hobbies, she’s also a stellar school student. Last year, she was proud to tell our team she’d received Student of the Month award from her school!
When asked who she looks up to, Cara told us she’s the proudest of her mom, who is working the front lines of the pandemic and still finds time to take care of her family at home.
“My hairpiece means a lot because I’ll look more like other kids and get to style my hair. My one wish is for the world is to be a better and safe place for everyone.” -Cara
